The whole world is in an absolute bizarre situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We could not imagine that this virus would choke the entire world with such anxiety and destruction. It is the first time since the Spanish Influenza in 1918 that we are suffering from nights becoming sleepless and days becoming restless. From government to private, and offices to educational institutions, everything is closed for undeclared duration.
Staying at home and keeping oneself in isolation might be fascinating for students initially, but will turn into boredom sooner or later. So here are some tips for students to make this lockdown productive and worthwhile!
Make a timetable
It is needless to say, TIME is the most precious asset in the universe. It cannot be stored but utilised. Once time is lost, it cannot be earned back. So, you must consciously invest your time on fruitful works rather than just engaging yourself with unnecessary stuffs.
For this, you need to make a timetable in which there should be a proper period for sleeping, eating, studying and spending time with family members. It will let you develop a healthy routine. You will not only secure yourself from insomnia but also guard-up from irregular eating schedules. You will also earn the respect and blessings of your parents by giving them time.
Education and learning bear no excuse of time and age limitation.
Books can become your best friends once you really get into them. Bounding yourself with text books of school and college for months and years sound horrible. Doesn’t it? So why not read some inspirational books or novels in these days!
Books which have changed lives of millions of people like ‘Think and Grow Rich’, ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’, ‘The Alchemist’, ‘Success Habits’, and ‘How To Win Friends And Influence People’. Read these books to make your days beautiful as I am doing till lockdown prolongs.
Exploring the art of writing
As a freelance writer, I have to give a special mention to writing. You can take an initiative in the cosmos of writing. You can pen articles and letters to the editor of newspapers and magazines on social and political issues. Try it out and see if it’s something you like. Once you get through your first publication, you won’t stop writing because the love of writing pulls you in. This lockdown is the perfect time to explore the art of writing.
Governments of all countries have restricted outings amidst the lockdown. But the question is, do you really need outings when with technology, everything is just under your fingertip? Students can really make use of the internet for online learning. There are certain things to seek and adopt for a wholesome career. Calligraphy, painting, cooking, marketing, coding, graphic designing and learning an international language like “English” essentially through online learning are on trend nowadays.
Health is probably the first foremost priority. We ought not to neglect health for the sake of jobs and studies. Being healthy requires exercise on a daily basis. Yoga and meditation are a good form of exercise, both for your body and mind. It will energize your body and enhance the subconscious mind. It is indeed a much needed concern particularly in this situation where the virus seems to be everywhere. It is a good habit to continue even after things return to normal!
Watching TV and playing games
Teenage years are a golden period when there is nothing to be worried about but to enjoy every aspect of life. We usually indulge ourselves too much in studies. Why not watch T.V, keeping studies aside for some time! And if you really want to learn, you may also prefer to watch documentaries. On the other hand, some students can choose to play contest games like cards, scrabble, puzzle and similar brain-boosting games.
Starting a YouTube channel
Starting your own YouTube channel can be a fun but unforgettable experience as something you did during the coronavirus lockdown. It is a plus point for students who would not only lead their passion but also cop-up all the necessities of independent life in near future.
